My comments on tutoring Dyslexia : I have dyslexia and have learned how to control it for the most part. I am more then willing to hp others learn how to control it as will as help them with any of the subjects listed here.

Every child has personal strengths and weaknesses. Enabling children to believe in themselves is crucial to their success. I was told as a child I couldn't carry a tune, and to this day I am afraid to sing out loud in church. I understand how important a child's feelings are, and am very patient. I like to start with a relaxed but alert student in a safe learning environment. I assess the student’s knowledge of the subject then I build on what the student knows. Literally all my life I have been asked by students, parents and teachers to help students who were having trouble. I get tremendous fulfillment from watching someone who has been frustrated finally "get it." In addition to teaching music lessons, tutoring all subjects, and homeschooling my own two children, I have worked for the last 17 years with a private school.
