I enjoy working with children of all ages. I have a son with a learning disability whom I am now home-schooling. I realize that patience is key when teaching. However, I also feel that children do best when they are presented with a challenge. I use a great deal of encouragement and incentive to help a child achieve his/her goals. 2 years ago when I quit teaching Spanish I thought I did not want to teach again, but when I was called upon to do a semester long subbing stint in a high school Emotionally Disturbed unit, all my original feelings for teaching came back.
