A Little Bit About Me...

I am a college student at Coastal Carolina University. Willing to help anyone that needs tutoring. I am a junior studying Biological Chemistry. I am knowledgeable in many different fields besides science. Every subject I've listed I can teach to anyone willing to learn. I am a local from the area so I have a good understanding of the curriculum in the Horry county school system. I am able to teach any (k-12) material.
My teaching style is different for every person. I have to asses each individual student find out what their strong and weak points are before they can fully benefit from my tutor sessions. I am easy going, friendly, and honest. My only goal is to teach the material so the student will fully understand, remember, and enjoy what he/she is learning.

I love working with children. I especially love teaching them about science and mathematics because I find these subjects so interesting. There are few things more rewarding then seeing it all "click." I like to use diagrams and real life situations to explain subjects. Breaking things down into laymen's terms and reducing intimidation by putting things simply helps most students to grasp difficult topics. I'm a pretty good artist and like drawing diagrams. Teaching has become part of a daily process in my life. I believe that any average student with a good and experienced teacher can equally perform as much as the best student in any field. My patience, advanced education and wealth of experience in teaching chemistry have helped me to put joy in the smiles of many students over the years. A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent college graduate, I was driven to study engineering and music to create a balanced lifestyle. I have earned a bachelor of science with a major in engineering science and a minor in music. The ability to counteract my math and science studies with the arts is beneficial for the body and mind. My off-campus work-study job during my college career included tutoring at an after school program for children in elementary school to middle school in the subjects of math, science, and english.
I believe that all children have the ability to learn effectively. It is just a matter of understanding how that child specifically learns best, is how to provide the best possible teaching method. If the child is surrounded by positivity throughout their education as well as constructive criticism, the child will understand their potential and move forward.
