I am currently working on a Master's degree, and recently received my TESOL certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). My teaching style with students of all ages is to facilitate their learning as opposed to simply feeding them what I feel is the best response. Students learning is maximized when they can take ownership of and pride in their work. I am very patient. I believe that teaching styles need to vary depending on the student's needs and learning styles. For example, some students may be better listeners, while others prefer hands on materials. I try to use methods that engage as many learning styles as possible to keep the students attention. Also, if possible I try to make some lessons become a game or fun activity (especially for younger children.) I would consider myself as a gentle and easy going person.
