Engaging with the student and getting them interested in the subject is of the utmost importance. If they do not care, they will not do well. Which is why making the student attracted to the subject is my first step. Once engaged, we can have fun with it. I also believe the most successful student is a hands-on student. That is why I will work with the student step-by-step until they can do it on their own.
In high school I was a student-tutor. I spent three summers in Vacation Bible School at Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken, South Carolina, where I got plenty of experience dealing with children. As a mechanical engineering graduate from Penn State, I have vast experience with the principles of physics and mathematics.
