A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is so rewarding, there's nothing better than helping someone understand something they have struggled with in the past. I am a very patient person who loves to work with people. I also enjoy helping people overcome challenges. For example: when I worked at the accounting office my specialty was dealing with clients who had or have issues with the IRS. It was my favorite part of the job, especially when the issue was resolved! My teaching style is different for different people, everyone learns differently. The trick is to help people figure out the best way for them to catch on and retain the information. After finishing my masters I hope to teach at the high school or college level.

In 2005 I graduated from the University of West Florida, earning a BA in psychology with a 3.5 GPA. During that time I was vice president of an on-campus meditation group that lead people in meditation and relaxation techniques. I have assisted many people with tutoring for various types of academic and placement tests, e.g, ASVAB, ACT and SAT, as well as college placement tests for english and math. I have excellent proof-reading/grammar/writing skills and an understanding of APA and MLA formatting. I have experience working at a military base college branch as an advisor/field representative and have gained experience with financial aid and degree planning.
