My comments on tutoring Journalism : I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, then I did graduate work in Journalism at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. I have worked in several political campaigns, as well as a reporter. I have taught as a public school teacher for the last 25 years. I write an occasional article for my union's newspaper.

I have taught high school subjects in English and the Social Sciences as a public school teacher for over 25 years both in the classroom and in Learning Labs where I worked one on one with students. I am currently a tutor volunteer for School on Wheels in downtown Los Angeles which serves the homeless population, as well as still a full-time teacher. My comments on tutoring Journalism : Minored in writing at Loyola Marymount and took Journalism 1 and 2. I also was a history major, which required a great deal of research writing.

I am extremely calm and teach at my students speed. Being dyslexic and not learning how to read or write until I was in 7th grade I am understanding and well-tempered to learning speeds. I also have strong verbal communication skills.
