If you looked over my resume, you would see that I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, a year of experience as an adjunct instructor at a medical career college and two years teaching English as a Second Language at a private institution. However, if you looked over my life, you would see that I have been teaching, tutoring and mentoring my entire life. I have volunteered as a mentor, a tutor, and a teacher in community organizations, in local schools, and at my local church; and I home schooled my own children. During my teaching career, I have worked with people from varied backgrounds, various ages, people from all over the world, and I love it.

I have always loved working with kids and feeling like I am making a difference in someone’s life. I am fun loving and a big kid at heart, but I know how to balance that with hard work and dedication. I feel that art can be a form of rehabilitation in many ways, such as helping a child grieve the loss of a loved one or even as a form of physical rehabilitation as well. I believe art can transform someone’s world into something positive and rewarding and I hope that I can bring this to every child I work with.
