I believe I have a natural ability to work with students of all ages. Tutoring and being able to help students understand certain topics is very rewarding for me. I truly enjoy doing helping others. My teaching style is somewhat laid-back, but students know that I expect them to learn to their fullest potential. I feel children are very self-aware and are very vulnerable to positive and negative feedback. Therefore, no matter how little progress is made, praise them. I was more of an instructor than a teacher. I was a day camp counselor at Solway House parent/child resort in Saugerties N.Y. I instructed kids how to swim, dive, play various sports and gave dancing lessons to the guests. As a high school student I tutored 7th and 8th graders in an after school community center. I was one of a few staff at the University of Connecticut to instruct graduates and staff in the use of the various electronic facilites available to them.
