Have two years in formal Arabic study. I also studied abroad in Amman, Jordan in the fall of 2012 where I studied MSA and Colloquial Jordanian Arabic. In addition to my Arabic study, I know a great deal about Arabic Culture, History, Politics, and Society. Teaching requires empathy for the learner's situation above all other things. This means looking at things from the student's perspective and communicating effectively with the student to determine where help is needed and how to provide it. Learning is most effective when the student is respected and is provided the appropriate means for that individual to discover and absorb the subject matter.
