My comments on tutoring Testing Strategies : Have been trained in University of Kansas, Test Taking Strategy-- it's very well researched on learning disabled and at-risk students, and is also taught in many general ed. settings.

I teach to the student's strengths and continually tailor my instruction to my observations and assessments of the student's learning preferences and progress. I have 12 years of K-12 experience as a special education teacher, and nine years experience as a tutor. My comments on tutoring Testing Strategies : discover a particular learning style and develop a study strategy for that student

Over the years I have developed study skills to help students with special needs as well as help individuals with special needs on the job site. I interview a potential student to find out the best way he or she learns. I would then adapt my teaching style to their learning method.I have worked with visually impaired students who needed me to transcribe their classroom tapes into braille or who needed me to write lecture notes for them. I worked with students who were taking English as a Second Language writing up grammar lessons,participating in Bridge classes, developing study hours for conversational practices at home and using pictures to get across ideas.
