I worked as a teachers assistant at Pulaski technical college for the head of the Biology department. I held a class that was not required but encouraged by the school to help the students in the biology course prepare for test and answer questions regarding labs. My teaching style is a simple one: I use kindness with firmness and always attach a fun and tactile activity to make the learning memorable. My own learning style is more visual and hands-on, but I know that some children can learn by repetition and memorization, and if that's what works, then I'll adjust to fit that particular child's needs. I also use a reward system when agreed upon by the parent for when the child reaches small goals. I believe baby steps are what build confidence.
