During my graduate year at San Diego State University in the School of Education I worked at one junior high school teaching U.S.History and one high school teaching an English class. The next year I subbed for the public schools in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I also taught Ecology and Conservation for the Camping and Education Foundation from 1971-1974, in International Falls, Minnesota. I was also a ski instructor in Innsbruck, Austria. I served as a volunteer representative for the LDS church for two years in Denmark and Iceland.
