My comments on tutoring Desktop Publishing : I have taken courses in almost all the Adobe Suite interfaces. I design t-shirts and use Adobe Products quite a bit.

I have excellent communication skills and I have taken the coursework to be a Social Studies Teacher from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. I believe that presenting material that fits one's learning style is a key to success in difficult subjects. Patience and flexibility are 2 attributes I possess and I believe is must in teaching subjects to people who's learning style do not work well with the established regimen. Everyone thinks and processes information in an individual style and I believe in trying to find that style. I am a 56 year old retiree from United Parcel Service, so I come with a maturity and perspective that is unique among educators. I love people and helping them succeed at whatever they attempt in life. After all we are all in this together.

I designed and taught a first-ever prekindergarten program at St. Anne School in Somerset, WI. I also directed and taught children's programs with the YMCA for children age birth through prekindergarten, having received the YMCA Focus Award for Excellence in Children's Programs. My teaching experience began during high school when I would help out at my church's Sunday School providing remedial services like handing out papers. Since then I have earned a bachelor's degree in finance and economics with ambitions to earn a PhD. During my undergraduate experience I tutored beginning accounting students for a couple hours a week aside from the usual work of helping classmates. Upon graduation I began looking other ways to continue teaching. About 10 months ago I began volunteering at a community center. I am a licensed MN French teacher. I speak near-native French.
