After obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies, I taught English as an additional language for one full year in Madrid, Spain. After I returned to the U.S. to obtain my Master's of Education degree in English as a Second Language. I currently teach adults and secondary students. Many students struggle with relationships and well as their academics. I believe in creating a safe, nuturing environment were a student is able to work at his own pace, at his own level, and feel a bond with his teacher. Setting realistic and obtainable goals with the student is a key factor to success. Measuring and documenting progress allows student, teacher, and family to see a visual record of growth. Communication with the student helps to enforce the context of the material, which is essential for full comprehension.
