I enjoy watching others learn and come to the realization that they can achieve their goals. My teaching/tutoring style is relaxed and pro-active. I have been a full-time teacher for the past three years and substitute taught for one year. The past two years I have taught seventh and eighth grade math and social studies and sixth grade reading. The classes at the school where I teach are ability leveled, I teach the on-level ability students. The students in these classes often need extra help and more time and patience in understanding and mastering concepts. In addition to teaching, I have also tutored students of different ability and grade levels, both after school and during the summer months. I have helped tutor friends’ kids on math from little school to high school. I have taken math all the way up to Differential equations and feel alright tutoring up to calculus one.
