I have had the good fortune of tutoring several high school and college students in chemistry over the years and would welcome the opportunity to serve in that capacity again. One college student that I tutored failed his first two exams before I began tutoring him. After I began working with him, through his hard work, he did well on the third exam, passed the course, and continued on in the program that he was in. He recently graduated with a degree in pharmacy. As a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University in General Science Physics, I have completed extensive coursework in the areas of math, science, and engineering. I graduated with a degree in Physical Science Education, which gives me a strong background in Physical Sciences and in math. I have worked with children and youth of all age levels and nearly every ability. I ran an afterschool program for the Salvation Army, ran a boys home for troubled boys and worked in St. Paul City schools as a substitute teacher and a night teacher at an evening school. Being in college for four years exposed me to social environments that I normally wouldn't have been able to encounter on a day to day basis. I have helped tutor friends’ kids on math from little school to high school. I have taken math all the way up to Differential equations and feel alright tutoring up to calculus one. I do not possess documented experience from schools or other organizations. I am a very highly motivated individual that does not mind helping others. I also have experience in teaching or helping coach little league sports educating kids on how to play games correctly. I have also been an assistant coach and helped out at Clinton Community College with girl’s softball under the head coach. I like to teach using examples, either on a board to show a person step by step first. Then try to give the student examples to try to solve themselves. I always remember having a passion for education, for example my favorite game as a child was school where I got to be the teacher.
