I have worked quite a lot with elementary school children, whether it be in or outside of work. I have done independent tutor work, mainly in the fields of Art and Language Arts. In the past I had a long-term job in which I was required to interact with young children, and I did so willingly. Writing is one of my top subjects!

I have always enjoyed English and Writing. I have kept a journal since I was in the 1st grade. I scored very high in these areas on my ACT's, as well as in all of my high school and college classes. My comments on tutoring Writing : Rec'd "A", "B"

My method of tutoring is to work with students where they are and add to their skills, to accomplish the final outcome, preferably an "A" or "B." Some students are visual learners and some are informational learners, or some students combine the two. The potential I see in students is what I try to bring out and have them realize they are capable of going a step further, to reach their goal. The importance of education and the students' continuance of same cannot be stressed enough.
I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's.
