I currently work in a PreK-12 School setting as a Certified School Library Media Specialist. I am responsible for teaching Prek-6th grade library/research lessons. When I am not teaching I am monitoring 7-12 students who are utilizing the library media cnter. I manage two library spaces, am the primary purchaser for books, technologies, and databases, and work closely with the administration team to meet and exceed curricular goals. Previously I worked in a K-6 setting with similar responsibilities. While working with on my Masters degree I substitute taught in several of the area school districts. I am active in my school community, participating in several committees and working as the editor in chief for the school's monthly newsletter.

I have tutored students with learning disabilities, autism, and ADD outside of school in elementary reading, math, science, social studies, and vocabulary. I received my MBA while a Manager at Verizon for twenty years. My BA in Psychology, my GPA was 3.87. I often tutored children with mental health or learning disabilities in a variety of situations, upon recommendations from Psycholgists and professors. I myself had struggled with how to approach learning, as only recently diagnosed, after all this time , as ADHD. I have a skill at knowing when a child is not understanding the way something may be taught, and have learned a variety of ways to approach a problem for easier comprehension.
