Teaching is a facilitating process. I believe it is my job to aide the student in developing a more solid understanding of the coursework in front of them. This may involve explaining the same concept to the child in a variety of ways to help them understand. The child may also just require a patient instructor who is willing to keep practicing until they have reached the mastery stage of learning. I love math and thick it is fun! I enjoy facilitating the ah ha moments when a learner gets it! I direct the student by asking questions and encouraging them to develop an understanding of why they are applying a certain method to solve a particular math problem. I use demonstrations to enable the student to visualize the math concept and relate it to their physical world and to experience its practical application in daily life.
