I have been in education for more than 20 years. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI where I resided prior to relocating to Alabama 8 years ago. My strength is my flexibility and creativity. I have held an array of positions ranging from reading coach to principal. I enjoy exposing and challenging my students through the use of technology and take pride in being a life-long learner. Teaching is not simply what I do, teaching is who I am.
A blend of traditional and contemporary teaching techniques are utilized to ensure learning. Hands-on lessons using a variety of mediums are used to maximize retention of skills. Lesson concepts are taught in smaller increments and connections are made to daily experiences so that skills are memorized and easily applied.

A Little Bit About Me...

Because of my passion for teaching and being the best teacher possible, I have earned a BS in Physical Education, a MS in Educational Leadership, and an MS in Specific Learning Disabilities. I have taught in the Bay County School District for the past 28 years, with the last 19 years being in Specific Learning Disabilities. I have taught English IV, American Gov., Economics, Readng, Personal Fitness, Learnng Strategies and all subjects in the functional curriculum to students with varying exceptionalities. I have also provided homebound services to students that can't attend school due to an illness.

Hello! I'm Kristin ! Lets learn something together!

Throughout my grade school experience I never obtained anything below a 3.0 GPA. As a college student I have acquired a 4.0 GPA and feel confident I can assist with any educational needs. I have never made anything less than an A on any paper I have ever written. I have experience in all fields as I have already completed the basic requirements for my degree in Psychology. English, Science, and History have always been my chosen subjects in school. Math was not my favorite but with time and dedication I overcame any “additional” problems. I coached cheerleading for 5 years as I cheered for 16 years. I feel that experience alone has provided me with an adequate way of teaching.
