I have always been passionate about communications and teaching. I began tutoring mathematics in High School and during my undergraduate schooling I mentored and tutored introductory university level physics, calculus, chemistry, and organic chemistry. I am currently in graduate school at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine studying Molecular Biology and Genomics but remain informally interested in mathematics and physics.
I adjust to the student/learner as I am told or discover their learning preferences. However, in my experience and research, I have noticed that active learning and discovery-based learning are arguably most effective mechanisms for knowledge retention. Therefore, I make considerable efforts to implement these styles into my teaching.

My comments on tutoring Calculus I : I have expertise in tutoring Calculus I. I am an expert in Calculus I, which is an introduction to calculus and an exposition of differential calculus.

As a student in technical logical philosophy, I soon became very interested in advanced mathematics. Once I had acquired sufficient knowledge of advanced mathematics I began tutoring mathematics in 2003. I have continued to tutor math and have enjoyed thoroughly assisting students in their acquisition of mathematical knowledge. I graduated from the Catholic University of America in 2005 with a mathematics minor.
