If I were to sum my "style" of teaching up, it would be "patience with determination". Perhaps my best achievment is with my wife who recently graduated from A-B Tech. Kate has always had a block toward anything mathematic. She had one course between her and graduation, college algebra! The bottom line here is that I patiently stuck through this course treatment with her to a successful completion, she completed the course and graduated with a well earned "C" or a 78%. With patience and determination shared together with the student, impediments like a dread for math can be overcome.
The civil engineering program that I successfully completed into a 4 year BS degree, was math and science intensive, with about half the courses requiring laboratory work. My graduate work is in Policy and Management from the College of Information at the Florida State University. I have been a substitute teacher for Hillsborough County, Florida and a fulltime substitute for Pasco County, Florida. My continuing education has afforded me a high level of proficiency in writing and reading comprehension. I am skilled with mathematical formulas and business accounting.
