I love working with students and it is such a joy to watch them learn. I understand that every student has different needs and learns things in different ways and at their own pace. I am kind, patient, and understanding. I believe students learn through discovering the right ways to do things and the reasons, not just regurgitating what an instructor tells them. After making a discovery, consistency and practice help to make it stick. It is my job to help the students reach their potential by providing them with the tools, direction, and explanation they need to help them reach an understanding of their subject. I hold a BA in English from Saint Olaf College and studied a variety of subjects during my time in the Liberal Arts program.
