A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently enrolled in the graduate engineering program at the University of Florida, in which I plan to graduate in the spring of 2012. I enjoy working with people and I have a strong background in numerical analysis. I have taken the GRE, ACT, and the SAT. Scores were high above the national average for math and at about the average for the written portion. I do have experience in writing research papers and laboratory reports, all in the field of civil engineering.
I love seeing people understand something once I explain it to them in a way that they can understand it. I will graduate from the University of Florida in April 2010 with a BA in Biology, which required me to take up to Calculus 1 as well as Analytical Chemistry and Physiology classes. I have excelled in courses requiring numerical analysis and have experience teaching and tutoring, both in academics and athletics. Over the past 7 years, I have tutored peers in College Algebra, Trigonometry, Biology, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, and have given horseback riding lessons.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Florida from the College of Education with a BA in Elementary Education. I entered the ProTeach program during my junior year at UF. I have been exposed to a lot of teaching strategies and ideas that have been used in the classroom from the past until the present. I had the opportunity to use these practices in actual classrooms by developing lesson plans to teach elementary students.
