English ESOL is one of my top subjects! I am a retired teacher of 38 years with a Masters degree in Education and an endorsement in ESL/Bilingual Education. I have taught children and adults from diverse backgrounds. I have a strong background in reading and grammar that would support an individual in their writing skills. I have a passion to teach second language learners so they can proficient in the English language and to be productive citizens of our society.

I am passionate about teaching and have the patience, care and respect for all my students. I allow them to tell me their learning style that works best for them so they can be successful in their learning.
I am a retired teacher with over 38 years of teaching both children and adults with diverse backgrounds. I have a BA and Masters degree in Education with an endorsement in ESL/Bilingual Education. I was a reading coach for 8 years where I taught teachers the best practices in teaching reading. I have taught every grade level and including college level. The last 4 years I have taught international students in an intensive English language program at a college level. When working with an individual student, my teaching style is to focus upon the student and create an individualized plan for how the student learns. I first look to see what kind of learner the student is, whether he/she is a visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or any combination of these learning styles. I am then able to formulate an approach for genuine learning. The next step is to ascertain what the student difficulties are in the subject matter and where the core of the difficulties may lie. With this teaching style, I am able to the student with what could be the core of academic difficulties by teaching to his/her strongest learning style.
