I am passionalte about writing and have taught in K-12 for over 10 years. I have vast experience teaching writing at both high school and college level. My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : Teach high school English and have also taught English at the junior college level.

I have 15 years of experience teaching students at all ages and all ability levels. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Master's Degree in Teaching. I am certified and highly qualified to teach English and History at the 6-12 grade level (and college). Dr. Segal taught us that traditional teaching methods are outmoded. Therefore I came to my own conclusion that as a teacher I would allow my students to confront me on their terms and make the learning experience as relaxed as possible. Students won't learn anything if A) the environment is unsuited to them and B) if you jump down their throat over every little thing. The important question to ask them is "why?" or "what do you think?" In regards to myself teaching is an avenue that I am considering and thus a bit of real tutoring would give me a taste of how I should go about teaching in the future.

Teaching mainly K-8 on a consistent schedule, I have learned that some students need one-on-one teaching. Being the third teacher in Head Start, I had time to work with individual students. All children were very well prepared for kindergarten. The older children, including High School and Middle School, I would walk around the room and aide them when they were confused. I also had them read the text orally taking turns and we would do the work sheet to prepare for quiz, test or new chapter. I am very patient with those who are truly in need of assistance. I have tutored in the past in phonics for those having difficulty reading and pronouncing letters.
