I have no formal experience. I am employed by a church to provide child care during the service. The experience I have is with my own children and my extensive tour of the community college system. I passed each of the subjects that I have chosen at college level. It is my goal to continue to Master's level and teach college. I am attempting to gain experience in teaching. I believe in guiding the student to find the answer foir themselves through the use of props or examples. I also would try to impart the skills that have made me successful in my educational career.

I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. I am very easy to get along with, so the student will have no problems with me. I am very patient and understanding. I know how frustrating it can be when you are unsure of what you are doing. I take the time it requires to get the student where they need to be. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and have been contemplating getting my teaching credential ever since. I wanted the opportunity to work with students and figure out what works for them. I have been a baby sitter for years and by default helped the children with their homework. I love being able to help students learn and I enjoy the entire process of it. I look forward to being able to work with different students and help them on their path to education.

My teaching 'style' is a bit unique, in my opinion. By that, I mean that every child/student 'learns' differently, so I must 'adapt' my style 'on the fly' after determining what is the most effective approach/style/method for that individual student. Volunteer and worker at camp Kids Inc for two and a half years. Read to elementary students 3 times a week and help them with reading comprehension. Volunteered to be a mentor to a junior high girl. I helped her with advice but also just was a support for her when she needed it. Worked at a sports team camp teaching little kids from the ages of kindergarten through sixth grade how to play volleyball. Students must understand that they have come to me to learn more.
