I have worked with different levels of mental health and emotional maturity for several years. I have spent much of my spare time working within the community at youth centers, soup kitchens and veteran administration homes. I feel that working with many different types and levels of human functioning has enabled me to be more able to adjust my teaching and assisting styles to better serve my community. Each person learns at an individual pace. I use the Gardner system of multiple intelligences to facilitate individual learning style. I have a somewhat relaxed teaching style that does not compromise the distinction or respect between student and teacher. This teaching style results in a classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable responding to my questions and asking for further clarification about complex topics. Many students have told me that my teaching style is refreshing and they feel comfortable in class. With my numerous experiences in education, I think I could be a great asset in helping students become more knowledgeable. I am a fluent spanish speaker, I spent the first 13 years of my life in Mexico. I am a U.S citizen since birth, and I have taught 1 year of spanish to ages 2-14 at Natures way Montessori School in Knoxville, TN. I enjoy teaching, and have been apart as a counselor and director of many Summer camps of elemntary and middle school age children. I have a great desire to serve people. I recieved a degree in Biology from Bryan College and a initial step to Physician assistant school. I love working with Children.
