I like to learn what works best for the individual. I focus on encouragement and that learning is an amazing thing! I try to have wonderful communication so the student feels comfortable expressing themselves.
I am currently working towards my MPA. I had academic scholarships to CBC and UCA and kept them the entire time. I have worked with children for over 10 years in different settings and teenagers. A Little Bit About Me...

Coming from a smaller school, I understand the importance of one on one communication and teaching. Throughout middle and high school I tutored many of my classmates and friends, and continued to do so with whoever needed help during my college career at Ozarka. After taking Writing courses at UCA, I began to see how that one on one quality becomes lost in a larger school, so I began offering help to whoever appeared to need it. A Little Bit About Me...

I received my BS degree in 2007 in pre-medicine. I majored in pre-professional zoology and I have a minor in biochemistry. I also worked at the Talent Development Center as a tutor for biology, botany, chemistry and biochemistry. I have a strong background in all science courses and maintained a 3.87 GPA throughout college.
I have been involved in a lot of activities and feel the best way to teach is to relate to the student. As a tutor, I have worked with many different types of students and I found a way to relate the information to something they were interested in. I believe all students are capable of learning the material; it just has to be presented in a way they understand.

As a single mom raising four children, I received my degree in Elementary Education and have taught one year as a preschool teacher of children birth through five years with disabilities, seven years as a first grade teacher, and 13 years of students 6th through 8th grade. I enjoy working with all levels of students and my greatest desire is that each child is capable of excelling in all areas of their education. During my time at Harding University I was apart of a competitive Economic team (SIFE) and for them I developed original material on economic principles to present at the surrounding elementary schools and even high schools.
