My experience as a teacher and instructor has been centered around my experience as a musician. Learning how to play and read music drastically helped me in school in all of my other subject areas. I knew early on that I would continue to play music and also that I would want to stay involved with music in some way. In college I naturally became the go-to person for help with coursework. My official experience, however, did not come until I was in graduate school.
