ACT is one of my top subjects! I work with many high school juniors - including athletes - that often score a composite of 30 or above the very first time they take the ACT after completing ACT prep with me. I prepare students for all four sections of the new, STEM-focused ACT. Several of my students have earned full ride scholarships to their chosen college based on their ACT scores. I have been teaching math since 8/2000. I first began teaching in a large urban district and then switched to teaching in a private school. I have taught math at both the high school and middle school levels. The subjects I have taught include algebra I and II, geometry, AP Calculus AB,and middle school math. I have tutored math every year that I taught, and also tutored GED math for 1 year.
I think that I am very clear and concise in my explanations of concepts. I am also very good at explaining concepts in multiple ways. So if a student doesn't get how to do a problem using one method, I can go over another approach. I'm a good listener.
