I tutored my way through 5 years of college. Most of that tutoring took place in drop-in learning centers at Blue Mountain Community College and Eastern Oregon University. In that time I have tutored every aspect of mathematics from remedial arithmetic to calculus and statistics, and won the 2009 EOU Award for Outstanding Academic Support. I have worked with high school teenagers while student-teaching in pursuit of a Master’s degree in education, but I learned that I am far more effective as a one-on-one troubleshooter than a classroom ringmaster.

In my instruction I apply research-based strategies, theories, new techniques, and modern methods of instruction. I put a lot of thought and work in to creating my lesson plans.
