While working on my associates degree I tutored pre-calculus and statistics. I also worked briefly with catholic charities tutoring all subjects for high school students in need. I then completed my bachelors degree while tutoring part time at SUNY Oswego and independently with a high school student in Math and AP physics. I am currently working with that same H.S. student and now I am also working with a third grade student as well (also in math).
I enjoy sharing knowledge with anyone who can benefit from my experience. I love mathematics, statistics and physics and I attempt to pass that enthusiasm to my students. I understand that there are many people who have trouble with math and science skills and becaus of that I try to explain technical concepts with easy to understand examples before submercing the student into computations that are difficult. You can preach all you want to children, but if you don't teach, there will be no learning. I believe that children will learn from someone they trust to talk to and from someone who they trust to give them the correct answers to their questions. I enjoy being that person. I like being the person who will sit next to them, talk to them, and help them out. I do not want to be the person across from them speaking without any word from my students.
