A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is patient and creative. I seem to find unique ways and examples that the learner can understand to help describe how to solve problems. I’m not afraid to admit if I’m not confident of an answer to a question and will do all I can to figure out the solution that makes the best sense to the student. I’m flexible with regards to teaching for different learning styles because not everyone learns the same way. My tutoring can extend from grade school kids to college students.
I know the value of a tutor in a young person’s life. As a child I struggled in math, but working with a tutor I overcame my difficulties in this area and eventually went on to complete calculus level two and even become the math club president in high school. I enjoy watching the development of students. I believe a good teacher partners with the students, asking questions that challenge overall understanding to identify areas for development. Through experience as a youth pastor and career development in management, I have administered numerous teaching and training exercises.
