I am an innate musician. I've been performing, singing, and playing piano and flute since elementary school and have always adored it. My music experience began with performance where many people from high school through college encouraged me to pursue it professionally. I love to teach, to be of service, to share my natural musicality with choirs, children's choirs, and private students. I finished my B.M. degree and served as pianist, organist, flutist, conductor, singer, choir director in several churches. I've also had private voice students. I also have a Certificate of Completion from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, CA. I love teaching children and working with children's choirs. I hold high expectations for all my students to achieve the best that they can do. I am aware that there are various learning styles in the classroom, especially with first grade! I have experience in using Brain Gym, Multiple Intelligences, and utilize the various learning styles into my lesson plans. I am patient, kind, and yet firm in my discipline.
