My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : I have proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, as acquired from the PC Specialist program of the Technical Learning Centers. I have received a Technical Diploma with a 4.0 GPA in this program.

I am a math tutor with a college degree in math and a sum total of twelve years experience in tutoring math exclusively to students age 13 to adult. I love to tutor math and see students gain the math knowledge necessary to succeed in their math courses. Microsoft Excel is one of my top subjects!

Collaborative style, very hands on with pre-built example workbooks for students to tinker and tweak. I try to boil things down as simply as possible to make every concept as understandable as possible.
After I completed my degree, I started working in the government contracting industry as a number cruncher (Pricing Analyst) for proposals. Proposal work tends to be quite challenging and that is where I learned the most about Excel and how to do efficient reporting. My teaching style varies, depending on what the individual student needs, but it is always driven by an enthusiasm and verve for education (particularly in science) that I have been told is infectious (not a great thing to say to a biologist, but it's the thought that counts). Learning is most effective when the learner understands the importance of the material to their interests and the world around them.
