My comments on tutoring Special Education : I am cerified in the state of North Carolina to teach learning disabled and mentally disabled students. I have a Master's degree in Special Education. I taught students with learning disabilities in the public school system. I am currently retired working with learning disabled adults.

I am very patient because learning is a process. I use hands-on activities as well as paper- pencil. I use pre and post test to determine the student's academic strengths and weaknesses.

Elementary! Reading Specialist! Homeschool! Master’s Degree!

My teaching style is thinking a bit about sentences and what the students expects of them can help us to diagnose problems with style. The basics of style are very simple and can be distilled into one principle: a sentence, at its most basic level, is about actors and actions. As such, the subject of a sentence should point clearly to the actor, and the verb of the sentence should describe its important action.
