I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th- 9th grades. I was a Title I Reading teacher for 3 years, working with struggling readers. I later went on to teacher 1st and 2nd grades self-contained. During those years, I offered tutoring during the summer to students ranging from 1st grade to 11th grade. I have taught World History and Language Arts for middle school students for the last four years.

I am a high school senior in the AP/Honors program at Warner Robins High School. I have two little sisters who I have tutored since they began school. On average, they have scored higher on tests when I have helped, particularly in the area of social studies. I have also helped multiple students at my school. The average that they score on a test is typically ten points higher than when they study by themselves and, in some cases, twenty points if the student does not study at all. The results are typically better in social studies, the subject which I am most proficient in, but all subjects tend to shoe significant improvement. I am hands on. I personally learn best from things like powerpoints and handouts. This is also the way I tend to teach others.

As a teacher, I know that each student/ person learns in a different manner. Due to this my teaching methods vary with every person. Once I graduated I was immediately hired as a long term substitute teacher in South Georgia. I wasn't offered a teaching job for the next school year so I moved here to Spartanburg, SC.
