About Me

Experience Summary

I am a retired special education teacher with 37 years of experience at the preschool/elementary level. I have tutored children diagnosed with dyslexia for over 10 years using the Barton Reading and Spelling System, as well as incorporating LIPS and other Orton-Gillingham materials to enhance lessons. I have found this program to be very successful with the students I have tutored.

Teaching Style

I believe in incorporating learning games with the Barton lessons to make the tutoring sessions enjoyable. The games enhance the skills being taught.
