Experience Summary
I have taken several lower division and upper division courses in each of the subjects I tutor. I have done substantial biochemistry research at the University of Redlands. I am currently a tutor for the University of Redlands Academic Success Center, and have taken a tutor training course, certified by the college reading and learning association.
Teaching Style
I employ a variety of techniques in teaching, including visual representations of abstract concepts, interactive tailored example problems created for each individual student, and interactive exercises to practice concepts.
My Hobbies
swimming, being outdoors, talking about science

I love taking complex, daunting ideas and breaking them down into simple, interesting, engaging concepts that are fun to learn. I am experienced at understanding an individual student's learning styles, and tailoring my teaching style accordingly. I also love organic chemistry more than anything, and in my experience that makes all the difference in a teacher.
