Experience Summary
I've been working with the El Monte City School District for about 12 years now. I had worked with grades TK-6th mainly in math and English. I am fully aware of the common core state standards. I'm also an after school teacher who works with grades k-4th in all subjects. I help with homework and create lesson plans to improve their skills.
Teaching Style
I first like to get to know my students and find out their learning styles. What's great about common core math is that they provide different methods to teach students how to solve a problem and in the end they choose which method works best for them. I love visuals and step by step directions to explain to my students. I find other ways to make they understand because I want my students to succeed of course.
