Experience Summary
I have tutored privately since 1974 even when teaching high school or working in an office. I am able to tutor Math from Kindergarten through College level courses, Physics, SAT/ACT Prep, Study Skills and Computer applications. I have tutored for Sylvan and other tutoring services where I trained to tutor Reading, English, Vocabulary and Writing (creative writing is not my forte). My students almost always raise their grade at least 1 letter grade within a grading period and if retaking the SAT or ACT their score goes up at least 100 points - SAT or 5-10 pts. - ACT (but usually more). I am patient and I will find what teaching/learning method works for you or your student. If you want to work online, I have sample problems ready to use and will accommodate your specific needs. Teaching Style
Patient, innovative, personalized to your needs, find ways for you to remember facts. Diagnose problem areas while working on current assignments and studying for tests.
My Hobbies
Logic puzzles, brain teasers, computer games. Crafts: knit, crochet, sew.
