Experience Summary
I came from China to UofM to study psychology 6 years ago. Through years of studying and living in Minnesota, I established many close connections with local students and their families, and some of them became my lifelong friends. At the beginning of my journey, I experienced conflicts, cultural shocks even trepidation, but with all the help from my close American friends, I found myself assimilate to American culture more and able to perceive cultural, political issues from different perspective. I believe such experience will help me to be empathetic when helping students to understand cultural subtleties. Both my English and Chinese pronunciations are great. Currently working on my GRE and planing on going to graduate school.
