Experience Summary
I come from a family of educators and have tutored children from K-12 over the years through various part time jobs and volunteering experiences. I am knowledgeable in mathematics, writing, language arts, and various other subjects in the K-12 range. I also have a experience with higher mathematics and can address those subjects as well (Linear Algebra, Calculus, etc).
Teaching Style
I prefer a 'big picture' approach, first ensuring that my students understand the big picture before honing in on specific details. I prefer a free-flowing and open-ended approach where the student can ask questions at any time, allowing us to pause and reflect on our understanding of a subject together before moving on.
My Hobbies
Recreational mathematics, creative writing, programming (Python primarily), exercise/working out, reading.
