Experience Summary
I am currently a semi-retired land surveyor and former TCU instructor (in computer science). As a land surveyor, I use algebra and numerical trigonometry on a daily basis, and, as a result, have a strong working knowledge of the level of math that appears in most pre-algebra and algebra courses. However, at the same time, I understand that math concepts can sometimes be difficult for people, and have the patience to work through these difficulties, as well as ideas about how to present material so that it is more easily understood.
I would be delighted to work with you and help you or your child develop mathematical skills. The goals I would set for our activities would be:
1. to help you understand your current math course and homework and
2. to provide a solid foundation for future work and courses in mathematics.
I am currently available at the following times:
1. Tuesday afternoons and evenings (starting at 1:00),
2. Thursday afternoons and evenings (starting at 1:00),
3. All day Friday,
4. All day Saturday, and
5. All day Sunday
I am willing to travel to your home and can provide background check information if you need to see such. Alternatively,
we can choose a public location such as a library or coffee shop for tutoring sessions.
I hope to hear from you soon.
