Experience Summary
I have taught nursing students for 3 years, before that I tutored RN students. I started in the clinical setting. There nursing students learn everything from the basic skills, and how to become comfortable with patients so quality assessments can be made, and subtle changes can be seen. From there skills grow into competent actions in care. In classroom teaching and tutoring students are given activities to match book learning for practical application of subject matter. Your notes become power, and the facts become applicable to the nursing practice. I make the subject relevant in a relaxed, question encouraged setting so students leave feeling like they gained valuable knowledge.
Teaching Style
Interactive, relaxed style that has proven results using funny terms, organization of thoughts, clinical scenarios, and straight up memorization. You are an active participant in constructing your memories that you can recall when needed.
