Experience Summary
I am currently a Master's student in Economic Theory and Policy at the Levy Economics Institute. I have several years of experience with economic theory, practice, econometrics, research and analysis and truly enjoy discussing it. I was a tutor for both economics and Portuguese (my native language) during my undergraduate years.
Teaching Style
I like to have very hands-on tutoring sessions with a lot of discussion and where the student and I work together to solve any of the issues at hand. I often connect in-class theory to real life examples, and try to keep things fun and interesting. My approach and background in economics are unorthodox, and thus I will surely help the student see any of the "usual" topics from a new and different perspective.
My Hobbies
I love to swim, run, and bike (I was a NCAA national champion for swimming twice). I also read a lot and am learning to play the guitar. During the winter I enjoy home-brewing, and during the summer I try to engage in as many water activities as possible.
Other Comments
I was born and raised in Brazil but have been pursuing my education in the US for over 5 years now.
