Additional Policies:

Due to the rigorous nature of my high school and post-secondary education, my varied subjects of study in college, and my real-world experience in the math heavy trade of insurance, I am qualified and capable in all core subjects. I am also proficient in Spanish, which I gained fluency in through giving presentations to Latin American clients and on missions trips to Spain and Peru. In all I am passionate about learning, and excited to share this passion with any student seeking to improve their understanding of a given subject. My base rate is $15/hour. Sessions are 1-2 hours with a few short breaks. More complex subject matter or Spanish tutoring is $25/hour. The nature of the material dictates these prices. For now, I am only conducting online tutoring sessions. You will find these to be equally effective as I do not waste time nailing down how each student learns and retains information. Cancellations without notice incur a $15 charge.

About Me

Experience Summary

I graduated high school with a full International Baccalaureate Program Diploma, and a 4.53 weighted GPA. I then went on to receive a full ride scholarship to Santa Clara University for Computer Engineering, where I took part in the University's Honors Program. There I completed 3 years of study in computer science, classical languages, and Spanish, before deciding to change directions and gain real-world experience. After a brief leave of absence, I entered Licensing Education Courses for the field of Insurance, passed the License Exam, and went to work as the Vice President of Marketing for Financial and Insurance Services, an independent insurance brokerage in Fresno, CA. Feeling the urge to once again to change directions, I am taking took time to pursue my passion for poetry, competing in several contests and publishing an anthology of poetry on Amazon (“Automatic Phantom”). Tutoring is a natural fit for my unique skills and talents, as well as a means of supplementing my income while I further pursue my dreams.
