Experience Summary
I taught freshman composition at Texas A&M Commerce and Paris Junior College. My primary focus in graduate school was literature. Much of my studies related to children's and adolescent literature. The study of composition and compositional theory made up a secondary focus of my studies. After graduating, I worked in the sales and management fields and assisted students in the community in writing speeches for competition and personal statements for college applications.
Teaching Style
I prefer working one on one with students and in group situations I utilize a collaborative learning approach.
My Hobbies
I enjoy reading and historical research. Historical studies is a necessary companion to historical literature. Understanding the time period in which the literature was written is essential to understanding the message of the passage.
I also enjoy volunteering in the community.
Other Comments
